Carthage, NC - Heritage Campground 10/2011

Here are some photos from our recent trip to Carthage, NC.

This is me. Hi!

I'm driving our RV. It's a 34' 2005 Forest River Georgetown SE.

It was a perfect day for driving. The sky was clear and there was very little traffic.

We spent 2 nights at the Heritage Campground.

Upon entering the camground we were greeted by this awesome turkey sculpture.

Here's a picture of our RV along with the little car we tow.

Our view from our dining room table. The colors of the foliage was amazing.

The campground also has a lake.

The nights were extraordinarily dark which gave me the opportunity to take some long exposure shots of the stars.

One evening we decided to go to a nearby town, Southern Pines, for dinner.  We got a little sidetracked by the train station.

People write the strangest things into train tracks!

Well, that's it for now.  This is just a small sampling of the photos we took and I am in the process of editing together a short video also.  Hopefully you'll see that here soon.  Thanks!

Welcome!

My wife and I are in the process of embarking on an exciting new chapter of our lives.

We plan to sell (and/or store) all of our worldly possessions (well, most of them - we're keeping the cats), purchase an RV, and venture into the wild blue (green, brown, grey, and every other color) yonder. Hopefully this will give us a chance to experience the world in new and exciting ways, hone our skills as artists, and provide interesting opportunities to give something meaningful to the communities we travel through.

This blog will be a place for family, friends, and the curious to follow our endeavors and keep in touch. Please feel free to check the blog frequently as we should be posting much more information relating to this adventure in the near future.

Thanks for stopping by and welcome!
